Foodworks Cookery School offers a range of residential courses which both equips students with key life skills and provides the training required for working the ski season. Our residential courses fit the criteria for the residential component of the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award and are a fantastic pre-university gift.
Each group has a maximum of 12 students and each day runs from 9am to around 8pm when the students enjoy an informal dinner party featuring the dishes cooked that day. A variety of evening activities include clay pigeon shooting and tennis tournaments. Students are also welcome to enjoy the grounds of Colesbourne Inn Country Pub where the accommodation is usually located.
Accommodation is usually provided in the nearby Colesbourne Park Estate in an annex to Colesbourne Inn Country Pub. All rooms are ensuite and feature tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TVs and WiFi. There are also two B&Bs within close proximity to Foodworks Cookery School.
All equipment is provided, however you require a Food Hygiene Certificate in order to work within a catering environment so we recommend obtaining this before you arrive. Food Hygiene Certificates can be obtained online but we are happy to assist if you have any questions.
